Seventeen children graduated Monday from the Morgan Center in Hicksville.
The center is a place for pre-school-age children to learn, socialize and interact with other children who have cancer.
The 2019 class got their diplomas and a medal.
The center is named after Morgan Zuch, whose parents opened it in 2003 after she was diagnosed with leukemia at age 2. Her parents say one of the reasons they founded the center is so that pre-school-age children could have some of the experiences that Morgan couldn't.
The Zuchs say graduation day, and every day at the center, is about making sure kids and their families get to experience all the milestones in life -- even between hospital visits.
Thanks to donations, the program is free for children and their families.
