For 16 years, Monsignor Tom fought hard against Parkinson's disease.
Hartman raised millions in his fight to find a cure, enough to launch an unheard of six studies in one year at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories alone.
He also continued to teach religious tolerance as the priest half of The God Squad, and counseled, married and blessed people.
Visitation for Hartman will take place Friday, Feb. 19 from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at St. Aidan's Church in Williston Park.
A Mass of transferral will also be held Friday, Feb. 19 at 7:30 p.m.
The funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Feb. 20 at 11a.m. He will be laid to rest at Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury.
