A woman was arrested for illegally selling cannabis at a smoke shop in Nassau County.

Detectives say Jaspira Thomas, 31, left her 4-year-old daughter home alone while she worked at the shop.

The Floral Park mom was taken into custody at Hempire on Jericho Turnpike in Bellerose Terrace on Wednesday.

An investigation revealed Thomas sold THC and a greenish-brown leafy substance believed to be cannabis at the location.

Police tell News 12 the child was found alone in a second-story apartment and released into the custody of a family member.

Thomas is facing drug and endangering the welfare of a child charges.
