The rabbi of Congregation Beth Shalom Chabad in Mineola held a special service Sunday to remember two friends who were killed after terrorists attacked a Jewish center in Mumbai, India.
Rabbi Gavriel Noach Holtzberg and his wife, Rivka, who ran the Chabad-Lubavitch center in Mumbai, were among those killed during the terror attacks that killed at least 174 people last week.
"What inspired the Holtzbergs was ? to leave their homes and go to these far places to bring the caring and the connection to the Jewish life," says Rabbi Anchelle Perl.
The Holtzbergs will be buried in Israel Tuesday.
