Police say they arrested 30-year-old Peter Granath early Saturday morning after responding to a building alarm on Willis Avenue in Mineola.
Granath was apprehended after police say they spotted him running on Ferncroft Road. They say he was behind nine other burglaries in the Mineola, East Williston and Hempstead area this month and in July.
He's facing 10 counts of burglary, among other charges.
This is not Grananth's first run-in with the law. In 2020, he was charged in a string of nine burglaries along the North Shore. In 2018, he was charged with animal abuse, accused of hurting his landlord's 10-pound poodle.
