A memorial run was held in Cutchogue Saturday to honor a fallen former fire chief.
Around 100 runners were expected to brave the frigid conditions to honor former Cutchogue Fire Chief Drew McCaffery.
McCaffery died in August at the age of 41 after a battle with colon cancer.
His family says the run is a way to honor him and raise money for a good cause.
The event featured a 4.37-mile course, honoring McCaffery’s badge number of 437.
