A memorial was held Monday for a Huntington Station mother who was fatally struck by a vehicle.
Police say Ena Flores, a 47-year-old mother of four, was run down by Jorge Granados while she was trying to cross New York Avenue on Dec. 4.
Granados did not have a driver's license, according to police, and was charged with unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
Monday's candlelight vigil was organized by Kimberly Steinberg.
"This is to celebrate her life and let her family know that we are here for them, and we will be here for them going forward," she says.
A fundraiser for the Flores family has so far raised thousands of dollars to go toward funeral expenses and Christmas presents for her children.
