The community center in closed in July.
As News 12 reported, Nassau County decided not to renew the lease, citing poor maintenance.
Board members told News 12 they are trying to find a new location for the dozens of children in its programs. They say, however, that the county will not let them back inside to get their belongings.
"They been giving us a hard time every step of the way, ignoring calls, dragging their feet, not responding, and as each day goes by, we are left in a deficit and can't get our belonging to try to move," said Gwynn Campbell, president of the Five Towns Community Center.
News 12 reached out to Nassau County for comment but had not heard back as of Saturday night.
