Marcus Stroman's mantra is heart over height, but the Medford native has never been short on confidence.
Stroman enters his first full season with the Mets, and he says get ready for the Stro Show!
“I’m reliable, I’m a dog, I’m a horse, [there’s] no one who steps in box that gives me slightly any fear,” says Stroman.
Stroman went 4-2 for the Mets last year after he was traded from Toronto, and with Noah Syndergaard lost for the year Stroman says he's ready to step up wherever needed.
During the time off, Stroman did his best to stay in shape, like doing bear crawls with a wine glass on his back or throwing from his dock, but now Stroman is out of quarantine and with his teammates getting ready for the season.
Stroman is poised to be the best version of himself for this 60 game sprint.
“I'm going to compete and hold myself accountable. No one puts more pressure on myself than me,” says Stroman.
Stroman also has some added motivation this year - he's slated to come a free agent after this season at the age of 29.
