According to police, 25-year-old Ryan Powell was killed shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday in a hit-and-run in Medford. Police say the driver of a Mercedes struck Powell but got out of her car to see if he was OK. While going to check on him, police say an SUV came out of nowhere, hit Powell and dragged him down Middle Island Road. Cops believe the SUV driver knew what happened. The first car was impounded, but police say the driver will not be charged in the incident. Suffolk police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS
