Presidential candidates Barack Obama (D-Ill.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.) were in their home states Tuesday to cast their own votes and prepare to watch the election results come in.
McCain and his supporters will gather at the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa in Phoenix, Ariz. About 3,000 people are expected to attend the ballroom party. McCain?s event is in stark contrast to Obama?s Chicago gathering, at which hundreds of thousands are expected. Grant Park will house the Democrats? festivities.
McCain made room for last-minute campaigning Tuesday, with Obama spending much of the day in Chicago. McCain is expected to have a difficult path to victory, as Obama was ahead in national polls going into Election Day.
