A Mastic Beach man is facing charges after police say he stabbed another man during an argument in Shirley.

Anthony Thompson, 25, allegedly stabbed a 51-year-old man on West Parkview Drive on Sunday afternoon, according to police.

Investigators said the stabbing occurred after the two men got into an argument.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Thompson was arrested and charged with assault.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact investigators.
