A Massachusetts hospital worker is the sole winner of the second largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history.
Mavis Wanczyk accepted her ceremonial check for $758.7 million this afternoon.
The 53-year-old mother of two says winning the lottery has always been her dream. Wanczyk says she was walking out of work last night with a firefighter when she realized she won.
The mother of two is taking the lump sum payment, leaving her with $336 million after taxes.
Mavis' lucky numbers were 6, 7, 16, 23, 26 with a Powerball number of 4.
The announcement of one winning ticket came with some controversy. Lottery officials initially said the ticket was sold in a convenience store in Watertown, Massachusetts.
However, about four hours later, officials said they made a mistake and the grand prize ticket was actually sold about 80 miles away at a store in Chicopee.
