Police are searching for a man who robbed a woman in Garden City near the Roosevelt Field Mall.

Police say the incident happened in the parking lot of 600 Old Country Road on Monday at 3:55 p.m.

A female, 53, exited her vehicle and was approached by an unknown male.

The suspect grabbed the victim’s pocketbook off her shoulder, breaking the strap, and fled on Stewart Avenue in an older model gray BMW.

Proceeds include the woman's pocketbook, credit cards, an iPhone and an undetermined amount of money.

No injuries were reported.
