Suffolk police is asking for the public’s help to find a man who endangered a child last month.

A 14-year-old girl was walking home from Smithtown High School East in St. James around 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 11 when the incident happened.

According to Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers, the individual parked his black Audi SUV in front of her at the corner of Lincoln Avenue and 6th Street.

When the juvenile walked by, he made an inappropriate comment toward her and also offered her $300.

The subject is described as a white, bald male, between the ages of 40-50, police say.

Anyone who believes they recognize the vehicle is encouraged to contact law enforcement at 1-800-220-TIPS.

Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
