A man was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday in Valley Stream.
It happened around 12 p.m. in front of a Chevrolet dealership on West Merrick Road.
Residents say drivers commonly speed and disobey traffic laws in the area.
The road was the scene of another deadly incident two years ago, when 12-year-old Zachary Ranftle was struck and killed while crossing the road on his way to school.
The victim has not yet been identified.
The driver remained at the scene. Police say no criminality is suspected at this time.
