Man accused of stabbing roommate in Fairfield
Authorities say the two men involved in the incident knew each other and lived together.

Fairfield police are investigating a stabbing that happened on Friday.
It occurred around 11:30 a.m. on Putting Green Road.
“I saw two officers, guns drawn, running through yelling, ‘Fairfield police! Fairfield police! Hands up," says neighbor Holly Hamilton.
Authorities say the two men involved in the incident knew each other and lived together.
Police say the victim is in stable condition with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Darren Palumbo, of Fairfield, was taken into custody.
Police say the 56-year-old is expected to be charged in connection to the incident.
"It's not usual around here," says neighbor Sam Witte. "I hope they can make sure that they figure out what happened and keep everybody safe around here."
Nearby North Stratfield Elementary School was briefly placed in a "secure status," police say.
