A Bridgehampton man was sentenced to life in prison without parole for murdering another man on Christmas Day.
Brandon Davis was convicted of first-degree murder for shooting 19-year-old Taleik Bristel execution-style at a Medford repair shop in 2013. It happened during a botched robbery.
Mattie Ulusoy, Bristel's mother, spoke with News 12 before the sentencing.
"Christmas will never be the same," she said. "Christmas is a day of celebration, but for my family it's a day of sadness."
In court, Davis was asked if he wanted to make a statement. He said, "Other than I'm innocent, I have nothing else to say."
