Man pulled to safety from Huntington Harbor

A 22-year-old man was pulled to safety after his car plunged into Huntington Harbor, police say.
The incident happened around 6 p.m. last night on New York Avenue in Halesite. 
Harbor master Ryan Sammis heard the call, according to Newsday, and raced in to save the man.
The unidentified victim was taken to Huntington Hospital and released.
The man later told town officials his brakes failed.
