Police say a man is in the hospital following a shooting in Belmont.
Police say they had a person in custody Wednesday night but as of Thursday morning, they have made no arrests. They are looking for a man wearing blue shorts and a black t-shirt.
The 21-year-old was shot once in the stomach just before 2:20 p.m. News 12 cameras captured the crime scene near Cambreleng Avenue and East 187th Street.
Orange cones served as shell casing markers in front of a barber shop as investigators worked to find out how the violence unraveled.
Authorities say EMS took the man to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he is expected to recover.
No official arrest has been made as of Wednesday evening.
