Man injured after being struck by car in Sayville

A Sayville man is hospitalized with serious injuries after being hit by a car while trying to cross a Suffolk street. The incident happened on Lincoln Avenue in Sayville around 7:40 p.m. last night.

A Sayville man is hospitalized with serious injuries after being hit by a car while trying to cross a Suffolk street.
The incident happened on Lincoln Avenue in Sayville around 7:40 p.m. last night.
Police say James Dower was trying to cross at the corner of Hiddink Street when a car making a turn off Lincoln Avenue hit him.
The 58-year-old was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital where he's being treated for a serious head injury.
The driver has not been charged.
