Police are investigating the fatal shooting of an Ozone Park man on a Bay Shore street Monday night.

Resident Gaylene Edmond says she was walking on Spruce Street around 10:30 p.m. when she heard people arguing followed by gunshots.

Cops say one of those bullets hit 27-year-old Alixander Catapano in the back. He was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Police say they do believe Catapano was the intended target but are looking for a motive.
