A man has died after his boat capsized in the Jones Beach Inlet.
Police say the man was fishing when his boat overturned in the inlet near Point Lookout.
Two good Samaritans pulled the unresponsive man from the water and started to perform CPR.
The man was alone on the boat, according to police. Authorities say he was in his 60s, but they have not yet released his identity.
The incident happened just after 2 p.m. Police say the water was choppy and that it was windy at the time of the accident.
The Coast Guard and Nassau police spent nearly three hours searching for other possible victims before learning the man was alone. They called off the search shortly after 5 p.m.
