A man convicted of killing a 12-year-old boy after posing as a minor will soon be up for parole.

As News 12 reported, Juan Peinado murdered 12-year-old Danny Meyer as the boy was on his way to a little league game in Montgomery in 1996.

He'll be up for parole for the third time in August after spending nearly 30 years in prison.

He was 22 at the time of the murder.

Assemblyman Brian Maher is calling on the community to write to the parole board and sign an online petition to keep Peinado in jail.
