Police are asking for help finding three people wanted in a violent carjacking in East Flatbush.
It happened around 1:20 a.m. on April 18 outside 787 Albany Ave.
Investigators say a 44-year-old man was near his parked BMW when three people walked up to him. They punched him in the face, and one of them pulled out a hatchet.
Moments later, one of the three got into the man’s BMW and drove off. The other two left in a white van.
The man who was attacked had minor injuries and did not go to the hospital.
Police released surveillance images of the three suspects. In the pictures, two of their faces can be clearly seen.
According to investigators, one of the suspects was last seen wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and gray-and-blue shoes. Another was wearing a black shirt and gray camouflage shorts. The third was dressed in all gray clothing.
So far, no arrests have been made, and it is not clear if the BMW has been recovered.
Police are asking anyone who recognizes the people in the images to call Crime Stoppers.
