Man arrested in fatal stabbing at Holtsville construction yard

Police say a man has been arrested after a fatal stabbing in Holtsville.
According to police, Francisco Lopez and Florentino Epifanio were involved in an altercation at a construction yard located on Long Island Avenue on Sunday around 7:50 p.m.
During the fight, Lopez used a knife to stab Epifanio twice in the stomach. Lopez then fled the scene.
Epifanio, 39, of Holtsville, was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Following an investigation, Lopez, 37, was located near the scene and arrested.
Lopez has been charged with second-degree murder.
