A man is accused of waving a knife at drivers in Westbury Sunday afternoon.
Kenneth Edwards, 33, of Roosevelt, was impeding traffic on Old Country Road near Albany Avenue, Nassau police say.
The man was located nearby, but became violent during his arrest, according to police.
One officer was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
Edwards is facing assault, menacing, and resisting arrest charges.
