The man accused of throwing a brick through dozens of car windows in East Meadow was arraigned Friday morning.
Tejinder Singh, 28, of East Meadow, was arrested and charged with damaging as many as 25 cars along Cambridge Street and East Meadow Avenue on Thursday. A few days earlier, prosecutors say he broke two other car windows for a total of 27.
Prosecutors say Singh was caught on numerous home security cameras walking along the streets damaging vehicles.
According to court documents, Singh admitted to the crimes and told a detective, "I just grabbed some bricks and started breaking things."
He was released without bail with an electronic monitoring anklet.
Kathy, who had three of her car windows smashed Thursday, was angry that Singh was allowed back home.
"You tell me how this is fair? They have to do something more than that," Kathy says. "He's sick and they shouldn't have let him out - he's sick."
News 12 went to Singh's East Meadow home - about a mile from where police say the car windows were broken - but no one answered.
Singh is due back in court later this month.
