A Westbury man accused of injuring two police officers Friday night in Jericho is facing multiple charges.

Nassau police say 44-year-old Edwin Zetina was pulled over on Roxbury Road around 8 p.m. He became combative during the stop and refused to exit his pickup truck.

When they attempted to place him under arrest, he grew violent left them with multiple injuries.

Both officers were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to police.

The charges against Zetina include assault, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and several traffic violations.
