Man accused in fatal Hempstead stabbing held without bond
A homeless man was in court Tuesday after being accused of murdering his sister's boyfriend.
Roy Christmas is facing second-degree murder charges in the stabbing of William Pinckney, of Freeport, on Warner Avenue in Hempstead earlier this month.
Police say Christmas was fighting with his sister over a $60 debt.
They say Christmas killed Pinckney when Pinckney stepped in to protect his girlfriend.
Christmas was arrested Monday and was held without bond after his arraignment.
