Here. We are on a Friday. It is Main Street, New Jersey. And today we are in Keyport and our Lauren de is showcasing local businesses there. And so Lauren, where are you this morning? And why did it have like a little bit of a spooky feel? But this spot I'm telling you is your place. Ok. We're at the parlor. We have Genevieve, we have John here. Ok. So tell me about this place. What is it? So this is an oddity curiosity shop. We have a lot of artwork. We host classes here. Um I own Jersey Shore ghost tours. So that operates out of here. So we do uh ghost tours of Keyport. Um It's just overall a really great place. It's a lot of unique, interesting pieces. A lot of fun. People pretty fun too. Show us around. Sure. So uh we wanted everybody to when they came into the environment to have an experience. So there's a lot of art. Um There's a lot of um picked jewelry that we've either uh made or curated from uh other places. Um So we have a lot of like devils and ghosts and uh stained glass and, um, you come, yeah, there's a lot of skulls and anything you see, you could buy absolutely all of it for even this girl right here. Yeah. Even Me, Megan's made out of wax. So, yeah, we have a lot of original artwork. A lot of the pieces here are either very, one of a kind or they're very limited quantities. Ok. And you also do events for the community as well so people can come and hang out, right. We do classes. We host a lot of different classes. We have tarot card readers from time to time. We've had Seances, we've had paranormal investigations. So all of that stuff you can find us here where, where is the best spot to find if someone's watching from home and they don't live close to Keyport. We're on Instagram. Instagram is the parlor Keyport on Instagram. Yeah, we have a lot of really great stuff. Yeah. One king. And what does that mean? King of Cops is a very good card. So if you see that it's got all of the, all the information on there that you need. So, uh, close ones are in need of your, um, in need of your cups. Cups are very good. Cups are about emotions. So now we're going into a time of year where we're gonna feel a lot of family and a lot of, um, emotional reunions and things like that. So it's a very good car. There you go. All right. It is Friday and for today's main street, New Jersey, we're in key point news. 12 New Jersey's Lauren de is showcasing local businesses there. Now, she's at Drew's Bay Shore Bistro. Is this the guy who beat Bobby Flay Lorn? Yeah, this is the guy that beat Bobby Flay Drew. You beat Bobby Flay. Yeah, I guess so. You're so humble. This is a great place. This is Drew's ba bi show. What kind of food are you cooking up here right now? Andrew is making a batch of voodoo shrimp. We do a little bit of Cajun Creole, New American food. A little bit of Cajun Creole. Yeah. And this is the mayor. Mayor Rose here. Your cousin? I am. Yes, it is. Yes, it is. It's a family business being in the town. This is the best shrimp, right? This is the best voodoo shrimp you've ever had. I mean, that's what beat Bobby Flay. Andrew and his son doing a wonderful job here in key. And so why did Bobby Play, pick you guys to highlight? He pick as part of the governor stronger and a storm campaign. It was after hurricane Sandy, I guess 11 years ago now. And he wanted a chef owner who had lost his business and that was me. I fit the bill. So he chose me and it was a great time. He was a great guy, you know, and it was a lot of fun. And you started in this whole restaurant business too. Owner is a lot. That's a lot of work. Yeah. Good question. I don't know. I just always love cooking and I got an opportunity to go to culinary school and open my own restaurant eventually, you know, after years and we took the opportunity and we're really happy we did and you passed it down to your son too because you like cooking up too. Right. Yes, absolutely. I really enjoy the place. I really enjoy working here and making it a great time and it's a beautiful spot too. I mean, I love this restaurant, the expo, everything I love this. This looks great. Thank you. Yeah, we just opened here on Valentine's Day of 2023. So we've been in this location for less than a year. All right. Any new plans for the new year? Anything coming up that people want to look forward to. Um, well, right after Christmas, you know, we roll right into Mardi Gras season, so we definitely do a big Mardi Gras thing. And of course, Valentine's Day and they're one day apart this year Mardi Gras is Tuesday. Valentine's Day is Wednesday. So, oh, boy, look like a busy early year. Oh, well. Should we dig in and eat some? Yeah, sure. Do it. Good morning. Like Asian shrimp for breakfast. Grab a fork, please dig in. Let's do it. Do you one for the, for breakfast? Do the taste test. It is Friday. It is time for main street, New Jersey. And this morning we are in Keyboard. Yeah, our Lauren do. She's been showcasing local businesses there. Such fun places this morning. And Lauren, you're now really had a fun house. Show us some fun. Really? At the fun house? Ok, so here's Melissa. We have Pat here. So do you guys have a lot of fun here? Yeah, most times we do, I think we have as much fun as the shoppers. Yeah. So tell me about what, what you sell here. This is great. It's a mix of clothing, uh local wares from local vendors. We have um a lot of local signs and uh this is great if you're looking for some last minute Christmas gifts have been super slammed for Christmas. Everyone trying to buy gifts. Yeah, we got the Santa here. Yeah. So everyone around, I mean you got the denim jacket, the denim pants, everything costume and then these T shirts I love, oh, we have to be super careful because there's a lot of curse words around, right? I'm not going to tell you what's behind that pillow too, by the way. We're not even going to flip that around. Maybe you block this section that a good guess. Um, and then this, this section over here make your own sign. What goes on over there. So any time we're open, you can come in and make your own sign. But we also host a bunch of local artists that come in and do sip and paints and craft nights. We have open jams, open mic and pottery. This is great. You have the Barbie, the Barbie Bugs. Yes, that's left over from our Barbie, our Barbie et cetera. Pat. You wanna get in there? You wanna be our Barbie demo like it too early. And then, so you have the sofa area here too. So what goes on over here? So we also have a sweet shop. We serve local chocolates and candies and then we have a tea and coffee bar which we also do homemade lemonades and our favorite, the New York style egg cream Melissa. How long have you guys been around? This is great over here. We opened it in 2019 and survived. We're still here. Well, it's, this is a really fun story. It lives up to its name for sure. Wow. All right. Well, let's sit down, have a little fun and, uh, we'll toss it back to the studio guys. I wish you were here. This is an absolute must check out if you're looking for anything local. Tell us Lauren a little bit about Nemo. Yeah, let's talk about Nemo, right. A sushi place. Hot food to le is rolling up some sushi for us right now. What do you make? I make some salmon sushi and a piece of tuna and I made a, create a Christmas roll. Does it look like Christmas? That's so cool. So, yeah, some fish eggs and, you know, different colors, you know, fish eggs. So, I like Christmas life. And then what do we have here on the bar? We have sashimi and the tuna sashimi. Ok. And then what with the mayor and Jack over there? What are they eating? They eat Thai rice curry and, um, and, uh, Chilean Sea Bass. So, what are you known for here at Nemo's? Oh, you know, I'm from New York, like, 14 years ago when I come keep her. I feel like, oh, very like, like, was he like a pa? Yeah. Yeah. Old school to? Yeah, very nice. And you also speaking of being nice, someone actually drew that Nemo the case, the case, thank the name is Nemo. They are, you know, like the painting, you know that Nemo for me is very nice. Can we show everyone at home? Because we didn't wrap Nemo up by the way, is still in the fish tank if we go all the way back and amazing waterfront to everyone, everyone outside to show them the beautiful view. I mean, it's really cold outside but in the summertime, I bet you this is, this is amazing. Oh, look at this. Look at this. This is greatly summer. Oh, very beautiful. On a Friday. It is main street, New Jersey and we are in Keyport this morning. Yeah, Lauren de is showcasing local businesses there. And Lauren, you're telling us all about this next spot where we can kind of, you know, use to distress from the holidays. So stress free, so stress free. Yes, I know we're gonna try. I'm telling you, I'm on edge until we get to Christmas morning here. So cat tell us about stress free body. This is great. You have a lot of people that showed up for you this morning that shows a lot. Yeah. So um stress free body. It's, it's about really being in wise relationship with your stress. So for as long as we're living, there will always be stress. It's never gonna end. And it's not about stopping the stress. It's really about being in wise relationship with it. The good, the bad, the ugly, it's all here for us to really experience and get through, not get stuck in. So what we do here is we offer modalities that really help you be in that wise relationship with the stress to help you move forward and feel less stress because you don't want the stress to wreak havoc on your body. You want to feel less stress but grow through it, learn through it, evolve and enjoy this life. And that's what's so great about finding a yoga studio. It's all about the type of practice and the messaging that you want to get across too. And when did you start this? Um It'll be six years this January 2018 we opened. Um but it was a lifelong journey. I started my first meditation class was actually as a child. I was 11 years old and uh yoga and Edward R. Murrow high school. I went to my first yoga class uh in Brooklyn in 1989. And I've been doing it ever since. So it really is a way of life. It's not like you get it, you do it and you're all Zen for the rest of your life. No, you just like learn to ride those waves really? And just get through it. Could you give us like a minute of Zen though? Can we, can we try to do it for the holiday if we do have Mayor Rose, by the way, who's doing yoga for the first time? Right. That right. Let's uh let's try to Dees, let's do it. Did you wanna stand or did you want it stand up? Well, we actually, we, we'll hit Warrior 21 of my favorite poses, right? So you guys will face the French doors. We're gonna take a wide step. Just get your front heel in line with your back arch. Everyone will face the windows. So flip face the windows, we'll have the left hand up in the right hand up. They're over our, our ankles. Everyone at home. I want you to gaze out into our future. Right. But let's never forget our, let's not be too eager to get there. Let's not forget our past where we came from. Again, the good, the bad, the ugly all here to serve its purpose. Always staying present. So softening the shoulders. Gazing out as we hold this pose, we strengthen the body, not only the legs, the arms, but also the mind, right? A little bit wider here. So gazing out to the future, but again, never forgetting the past good, softening the shoulders. Gazing over front knee is bent, beautiful. I already feel so much better cut. Thank you for this. It's Friday and for today's main street, New Jersey, we're in Keyport News. 12, New Jersey's Lauren do showing off local businesses there time for a little shopping around this time of the morning here, Lauren. Yeah. You know, we're going to do some high end shopping at a really nice price point. Right? Paula at Tiffany's Vintage Closet boutique. So how is your name? Paula? But this is Tiffany's Closet. How does that all work? Ok. Opens in 2010 and I was deciding on a name and not because she's mine. I have the most beautiful daughter. So I thought, ok, we're gonna name it Tiffany's and um that's where the name came about. It's amazing. And so, and you say that a lot of your customers are actually young people that are probably 70% of my clients have, are young people. They love coming here, they love finding the history of the clothing. They'll ask me how old is this? It's like really fun. I have a passion for my business and a lot of people come to me for that reason. So how do you fill this huge closet? This vintage closet? Well, this is like probably 20 years of collecting a lot of it is my personal stuff but I shop people's closets by recommendation. They call me, um, like for instance, that's a Saint John's gown. Uh, very high end. Um, I really wanna get out there that if you're looking for something really high end, you can come here, you get personalized service and um, if you want something low end, we try to have something for everyone. But um, it's not a thrift store. We need to get that out there. It is, it is a vintage boutique and it's an experience you were talking about. You like five year old Lynn, you make all the reels. I mean, this is a hot spot to be let, let's get that across too. Right. Yeah. Um, I do the reels and end the ads and just keep everything updated for the Instagram account, which is at Tiffany's Vintage Closet Boutique. Yes, please follow us. But yeah, I especially love doing reels of her beautiful daughter. She is stunning. So, but we do, we keep it updated very, very regularly. And I just love doing reels of customers coming in, frying on the clothes. And we had a girl in here the other day bought a military gown, Paula gave her an amazing amazing heel and she was stunning. She wanted to be a model. So we decided to film her and now she's on your account. She loved it. You might have to make a new one for the Mayor. Mayor Rose over here is going shopping. So, yes. Yes, we have to, we have to tell everyone in New Jersey. Mayor Rose bought a beautiful YSLB last night and, uh, a little mayor. Yes, she did. All right, we're gonna have a lot of fun in here. Street, New Jersey on a Friday. We are in Keyport this morning. Yeah, our Lauren do is show showcasing local businesses there. The final stop for the day, Lauren, where is it? It is Old Glory. And I want to show you this hand up. Look at this. This is so impressive. I mean, you walk in here. You just feel so patriotic. Nick. Thanks for welcoming us this morning. Thank you for coming. Ok, so what this place all about? This is amazing. So this place used to be a church and we have been in business for seven years and it is called Old Glory because we are proud of our country, proud of our veterans and that what we represent. That's amazing. Thank you so much for doing that. And you also, you had your chef in early this morning. I did signature dishes right here. This is my chef, Ariel. This is my pre Marisol. She preps everything in this restaurant. Everything is completely homemade, nothing is frozen. She literally makes all of our recipes and preps them every day and he runs our whole kitchen. So these are three of our signature dishes. Our signature burger and Ariel will explain them. Yeah. What do you have right here. I have a strawberry mac and cheese with a broiled short rib. Um, nice, freshly made, uh, mac and cheese, which we put in the oven, like for a few minutes, you know, nice and nice and baked and that's pretty much it and, and some, uh, topped it off with some gravy and that's all. And right here we have a Cheyenne burger. This comes with uh barbecue sauce, bacon onion rings. It's pretty much all you need to. And that's a big cake with mashed potatoes, veggies and 24 ounce of crab cakes. This is so God bless America right now. All of that. And then we have some drinks over here. This is our bartender, Ari. These are our two signature drinks here for this season. Yeah. What are they? So this is our peppermint martini. So it has vanilla vodka and peppermint syrup with cream and then it's garnished with cans and then whip cream and crush cans on top. And this is our Jack Frost. It has Malibu the Coco and then, and thank you so much, Nikki. Thank you so much and real quick, Mayor, Mayor Rose. Thank you so much for welcoming us Keyboard is such a great, thank you for coming in and everybody loves that. That you showcased our businesses today. This was wonderful.
