Piscataway is home to one of New Jersey’s booming businesses as Clio Snacks marks a decade of growth.

The company went from $100,000 in sales to $120 million, producing Greek yogurt bars that combine indulgence and protein.

It was launched in New Jersey about 10 years ago by a founder inspired by a snack in his native Ukraine. “Clio just kinda hits all the marks,” says CEO John McGuckin.

Clio runs five production lines from its Middlesex County plant with about 130 employees and advanced automation. “It is an advanced operation with levels of automation that really help carry us forward and scale to where we are today,” VP of Manufacturing Adam Stein said.

With 95% of Americans snacking at least once a day, Clio expects more growth in the new year. “We do feel like the sky’s the limit, like we’re only just getting started,” McGuckin said. The company recently began selling bars on its website.
