Long Island residents have a mixed response to President Donald Trump's planned campaign event in Uniondale.
Betty McGovern, of North Babylon, said she’s “very excited” and plans on attending Wednesday’s rally, while Pearl Jacobs, president of the Nostrand Gardens Civic Association, said the event will snarl traffic and be an “inconvenience” for the community.
Frank Borrelli, owner of Borrelli’s Restaurant, is hoping the event is good for business.
He said it puts a “buzz” in the area.
Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman said the rally will be good for the local economy, and expressed confidence that it is a “net positive” for taxpayers.
