Long Islanders voted Tuesday in 36 village mayoral races, though only three were contested.
Incumbent Brian Gilbride was re-elected mayor of Sag Harbor, while Bernard Ryba was victorious in the mayoral election in Old Brookville. Margot Garant was chosen as mayor of Port Jefferson. Garant's mother, Jeanne Garant, served as the village's mayor from 1999 to 2005.
