Long Islanders rushed to stores Friday evening looking for the best Black Friday deals.
Parking lots at the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park were filled to capacity as stores were offering up to 70% discounts.
Many people returned to in-person shopping after buying their gifts online in 2020 due to fears of the pandemic.
"More people are out," says Brooklyn resident Elaina Gibbs. "Everybody's vaccinated, so safe. So it's easier that way."
Some other people who came out were still worried about finding what they need due to supply chain issues, prices rising and shipping delays.
"I'm still skeptical," says Hicksville residents Vikas Advani. "With all the shortages going on in the world I don't expect them to have too many discounts right now. Let's hope for the best. Let's hope Christmas comes with a lot of discounts."
