All across Long Island, residents joined in a worldwide protest of the war in Iraq Saturday.
March 19 marks the third anniversary of when U.S. troops first invaded Iraq. The protesters say they support the troops, but don?t want to see any more soldiers die. Megan O'Handley, of the Long Island Alliance for Peaceful Alternatives, says that goal of the protests is to send a message to Congress and to the president that it's time to set a date for withdrawal and bring the troops home.
Demonstrations and vigils will continue across the Island and around the world throughout the weekend.
