Long Islanders can weigh in on Gov. Andrew Cuomo's plan to replace LIPA at meetings this week

Two public meetings will be held this week for the public to weigh in on the governor's plan to replace LIPA after the utility's botched response to Superstorm Sandy.

Representatives from PSEG and staff members from Gov. Andrew Cuomo's Moreland Commission on Utility Storm Preparation and Response will be in attendance to take questions from the public.

The meetings will take place Wednesday night at the SUNY Old Westbury student center and Thursday at the Western Suffolk BOCES conference center.
