Religious leaders from across Long Island are gathering in Huntington Station to speak out against immigration enforcement.
The leaders gathered at Gloria Dei Evangelical Lutheran Church to denounce Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrests and mass deportations.
Two young brothers, Jose and Josue Trejo Lopez, joined the gathering on Zoom. They were deported from Central Islip in May.
News 12 has been told they came to America as children with their mother, fleeing gang violence.
In June, Long Island Jobs with Justice and the Immigrant Justice Alliance issued a statement condemning mass deportations. It has been signed by over 200 Long Island religious and ethical leaders.
