Long Island’s past is full of intrigue. Spies risked their lives, residents resisted British occupation and patriots fought in strategic skirmishes. With all that in mind, Suffolk County is preparing to celebrate America’s 250th birthday.
The anniversary will be marked with a "range of events," according to Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine.
“We are going to celebrate so much of our history,” said Romaine.
The county created a passport book containing its historic sites. Under each is space for a stamp. When you visit each location, you can get your passport stamped.
