Long Island is preparing to enter Phase Four of reopening on Wednesday.
According to New York state, nonessential businesses can reopen like outdoor arts and entertainment. Aquariums can also reopen, but at 33% capacity.
Higher education like colleges can also reopen, but must develop a plan for reopening and operating during the pandemic.
Low-risk sports can also take place again.
Colleges like SUNY Farmingdale are opening up with a phased employee-return plan in preparation for the fall semester.
Masks must be worn and social distancing will still be required as more establishments begin to reopen.
Malls, gyms and movie theaters will remain closed until further notice.
