Long Islanders are gearing up for the annual Long Island Fair.
The 19th-century style festival is being held through Sunday at Old Bethpage Village Restoration. Site Director Jim McKenna calls the fair a 165-year-old community tradition.
Those attending the fair will be able to enjoy contests, games, old-fashioned rides and a carnival. There is also a petting zoo and a display of prize-winning art, vegetables and other exhibits.
There will also be old-fashioned baseball games throughout the weekend, where the rules are different and players don?t wear mitts.
