The Long Beach Polar Bears took their annual plunge Sunday morning to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The nonprofit grants life-changing wishes to children who are sick.

"It brings great joy to me. It warms my heart. The Long Beach community, the South Shore of Long Island – they’ve embraced this. The City of Long Beach is spectacular," said Polar Bear Michael Bradley.

The dip started in 2001 and has since raised more than $8 million to grant wishes for children with critical illnesses.
