The LGBT Network is calling for the Long Beach police commissioner's resignation after it says he took down a pride flag on the boardwalk.
The City of Long Beach responded, saying the flag violates city code and that Police Commissioner Ronald Walsh deserves an apology.
"Long Beach is an inclusive community where all are welcome. This is not an issue about the content of the flag, but purely about where it can be flown,” according to a statement from the city.
