The Long Beach boardwalk is closed until further notice.
The Long Beach City Council says the decision was made because cases of the coronavirus have been increasing in the city.
They say they can't allow the boardwalk to become a major venue for transmission.
While the boardwalk is closed, the beach will remain open.
The council recommends walking or bike riding in the neighborhood to get fresh air while practicing social distancing.
