LIU Post campus temporarily locked down due to unfounded reports of shots fired

Long Island University's campus was temporarily locked down following a reported shooting that turned out to be a false alarm Wednesday afternoon.
Police swarmed the Brookville school after reports of gunshots at Post Hall.
Students were told to stay inside as police investigated.
A text soon went out to LIU Post students saying that reports of shots fired were unfounded.
The lockdown has since been lifted.
