Long Island Rail Road officials are warning that the evening rush could be affected after a non-passenger train derailment Monday morning.
The train derailed east of the Woodside station, triggering service disruptions on nearly all LIRR lines for the morning rush.
The railroad says customers should expect delays and possible cancellations Monday evening. It says repairs are ongoing, but may not be fully completed before the evening rush.
Riders are being urged to check the LIRR website and follow the railroad on Twitter using the handle @LIRR.
