The LIRR says the disruption affected the area between Great Neck and Port Washington due to a vehicle striking an LIRR bridge near Plandome.

LIRR: Service temporarily suspended for part of Port Washington branch
Service was temporarily suspended Tuesday for part of the Port Washington branch of the Long Island Rail Road, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
The LIRR says it received a report of a vehicle striking the underpass of a bridge near the Plandome station at around 5:40 p.m. Service between Port Washington and Great Neck was initially suspended but has since resumed.
