Service has been restored in both directions on the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) Babylon and Ronkonkoma branches. LIRR officials say commuters can expect 30-minute delays on the Babylon branch due to downed power lines. Residual delays of up to one hour are being reported on the Ronkonkoma branch due to a jack-knifed tractor-trailer blocking the crossing at Wellwood Avenue, just west of the Pinelawn station.Commuters are being asked to consider using the Port Jefferson branch.
