LIRR Ronkonkoma branch running on normal schedule after train crashes into SUV

Police say a train struck an SUV around 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

The Ronkonkoma branch on the Long Island Railroad is running on a normal schedule this morning after a train collided with a car in Wyandanch on Thursday.
The driver of the car was taken to a hospital but is expected to be OK.
The crash left only one track open on the Ronkonkoma branch.
Riders are encouraged to check the LIRR’s Twitter and the train time app this morning for the latest information.
