News 12 Long Island has learned some LIRR riders received KKK fliers on their train.
A woman says she saw a young white man placing recruitment materials in the ticket holders on the LIRR.
The man got off at the Patchogue station and the woman called police. However, the woman says no legal action was taken since it is not illegal to distribute KKK propaganda.
The incident comes a week after an anti-KKK rally was held in Patchogue.
The rally was organized to counteract fliers and cards being distributed in the village.
